In 2001, Hill East Community Garden was only a dream.

But neighbors in this east capitol hill neighborhood came together, worked hard and in a few short years, they turned that dream into a reality. What was once an overgrown, neglected plot of land in an alley has now become a thriving community garden.

Hill East Community Garden is located in Southeast Washington, DC, between C, D, 17th and 18th Streets.

There are 36 4'x12' plots.
